Let me tell you a little about myself

Over 35 years of experience, knowledge and training

My love of all animals has been passed down from my Mum who grew up with dogs. In my teenage years my love of horses led me to working with hunters and racehorses at Bridport. Cats were a large part of my life at that time too – they are a great natural rat and mouse deterrent; I wormed and flea-treated all the cats living in the stable yards.

I moved to America and worked on a stud farm with American Saddlebred Horses where I coached and trained young riders for the show ring. It was during my time in America that I bought my first dog, Kayla, a Rottweiler.

Kayla came home to England with me and over the years my love of dogs – and in particular Rotties – led me to owning and breeding this wonderful breed. Since 1994 all my dogs qualified and competed at Crufts and I am very proud of their achievements. More recently I have been gaining more valuable experience – with cats – at the Snuggle Inn Luxury Cat Hotel in Eastleigh; owners Jo and Adie Ellis will be happy to provide a reference to any potential ‘Sweet Harmony’ clients who would like one.
